Our Patron: St. Joseph
St. Joseph, the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus and the stepfather of Jesus. Christian tradition places Joseph as Jesus’ foster father.
In 1870, Pope Pius IX declared Joseph patron of the universal Church. Catholic and other Christian teachings and stories about or relating to Joseph and the Holy Family frequently stress his patience, persistence, courage, and hard work. His feast day is on March 19th in India.
The Feast of St. Joseph the Worker (1 May) is also celebrated in several countries around the world.
